Muskoka is an area in Ontario, Canada that is located in the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, specifically the Ojibwe.

Commonly known as cottage country, this is a landscape filled with sparkling lakes and huge granite rock faces.    Pine trees tower on rocky clifftops and the maples and oaks of the forest only get more beautiful as their leaves change to red and gold every autumn.  Rivers wind through the rocky ground leading to and from shallow wetlands or deep glacier-carved lakes.  Because it is located on the southern edge of the Canadian Shield, this area is the southern limit for northern species, and the northern limit for southern species.
