Simcoe PJs & Fundy Robe Bundle

Posted by Roxanna on 2022 Oct 21st

The Simcoe PJs are wonderful and easy. They fit so well and are cozy and warm. Having the summer set will be great for next summer. The Fundy Robe is a quick sew and so much fun for the grandkids. They love their robes. Having the sizes for the littles as they get big will be so wonderful through the years. Thanks.

    I love these patterns

Posted by Kendra on 2020 Dec 28th

I love these patterns. I made the fleece fundy robes for my friends kids for next Christmas because I know there won't be a size issue as they are open robes. They look soooo cute I can't wait to see them in them. It will be hard waiting for December LOL. The collar was a little tricky for a beginner but once I figured it out I felt very accomplished. The robes are designed very well and now I know what it means to stitch in the ditch. I have made the Simcoe Pajamas in Fleece and in Flannel. I definitely like them in flannel better (as they were intended). For the fleece ones I cut the shirt longer and hemmed it so that it would be able to breathe a bit better. For the flannel ones I followed the pattern with the knit band instead of a hem and it is easy to do and looks very cute. I found the ankle bands to be too loose so I cut mine slightly more narrow but that requires no changes in how it is sewn. Love the patterns and once I got the Simcoe I wished I had bought more flannel! I also love that flannel and cotton comes in so many fun designs which are available to me in my own city. It is much harder to find cute knit prints, so I'm so glad that the Simcoe is designed for wovens. I have a pair in progress on my sewing table as I write this.
