Kluane is a National Park in Canada’s Yukon Territory, where tundra, ice fields, lakes and rivers, glaciers and mountain ranges are draped in the shifting colors of the aurora borealis (Northern Lights) in the winter or lit by the Midnight Sun during summer.  This park is home to Canada’s highest peak, Mt. Logan… and an impressive grizzly bear population.

Kluane National Park is part of the traditional territory of the Southern Tutchone people represented by the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations and the Kluane First Nation.  The Southern Tutchone name “Łù’àn Män” means "big fish lake" and their trading partners, the coastal Tlingits, called the area “ùxh-àni”, meaning "whitefish country".  The name 'Kluane' is derived from these two names.
